Request CCTV footage
We strongly advise against having parcels delivered when you are not home. Please note that parcels left in communal areas are done so strictly at the owner’s risk.
CCTV and Data Protection
The use of CCTV is strictly governed by the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) and GDPR. As the designated Data Controller (Gena), we are legally required to protect the privacy of all individuals captured on camera. Consequently, we are prohibited from releasing video footage directly to residents; it can only be released to legal authorities, such as the police.
Fees for Footage Retrieval
Our standard management fee does not cover the time required to review CCTV footage. Therefore, the following charges apply and must be paid in advance:
-
Remote Access: £30 + VAT per hour.
-
On-Site Access: £150 + VAT (where a staff member or contractor must travel to the site).
Note: We may waive these fees at our discretion for particularly serious or malicious incidents.
How to Proceed
If you accept these charges and wish for us to investigate, you must first file a police report. Once you have done so, please provide us with:
1. The Crime Reference Number
2. The specific time frame you would like us to investigate
3. A description of the item and its packaging (including dimensions/colour) to help us identify it
4. Make a deposit payment of £30 + vat for us to commence the work
Once the relevant footage is located, we will release it directly to the police when they contact us.
